Meditouch is an Israeli company that was founded in 2004 with the aim of developing and distributing motion feedback devices for the physiotherapy and neurocognitive rehabilitation market. The rehabilitation method is based on tried and tested concepts of intense and repetitive exercise, practice and feedback. 

Meditouch systems and products are developed by medical expert, and are supported by world renowned physiotherapists and occupational therapists. In addition, these systems are well-established, and have been used in medical clinics and hospitals since 2008. These include the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine in New York and the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore (USA), among others. MediTutor is the Meditouch system designed to evaluate and treat movement problems that can be caused by a variety of neurological and orthopaedic injuries:

The system is made up of an ergonomic device and support software. The concept is based on carrying out controlled rehabilitation exercises that are customised for each patient, with precise information on patient progress shown in real time.

The system offers several digital games, specifically designed with different objectives in mind, which help the patient with the rehabilitation process by making it more entertaining and adding the necessary level of motivation. 

The systems can always be used as support for a rehabilitation programme designed by a therapist. The system is able to assess the following movements:

  • Passive movement range.
  • Active movement range.
  • Joint movement speed.
  • Quality of movement, measuring trembling and smoothness.
  • Fine and gross motor skills. 

The system is able to treat the patient by using digital games, evaluating each process by carrying out the necessary assessments and storing all the data obtained for each patient. This information can be extremely useful when determining the output for each user, determining objectives and monitoring progress.
